Our Story
Iceberg Glass was founded in 1982 by Douglas Wilson and Julie Snowdon, initially producing a small range of lamp worked glass. Now we are a small team who work with borosilicate glass heated over a propane/oxygen flame which we shape, blow or construct with a variety of colours to create our own diverse range of glass products.
Come and watch us at work here in the studio as you browse our products.

Our Products
Our wide range of products include a wide range of jewellery, Christmas decorations, our very popular whisky pipettes and drinks stirrers, ornaments and Scottish themed products, including thistles, Celtic Ogham birthstones, and of course, as we are by Loch Ness, our highly stylised glass Nessies.
Our Studio and Shop
As well as making and selling our own work on site, we also buy in a wide variety of hand made items and gifts both locally made, Scottish and imported (largely ethically sourced), allowing us to offer our customers more choice with frequent exciting product changes and up to date creative ideas.

Our Location
Our studio is in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus, at the South end of Loch Ness, in the heart of the Highlands. The Caledonian Canal runs through the centre of the village, where you can see pleasure cruisers, ocean going trawlers and even the occasional square-rigger waiting in the locks. The village is popular with walkers doing the famous Great Glen Way and many other short walks. Popular boat trips on the Loch depart from the village year round.
